We have just returned from the park here in Selmer. Tonight was our town's 4th of July Celebration and it was very nice. There was a slide show on a large screen up behind the stage and they showed pictures of the veterans from McNairy County. Some of the pictures were current, some in their uniforms and others at the locations where they served. Many of the veterans were there. Each was recognized as a way of thanking them for serving and helping to protect the freedoms we all enjoy. It was very nice.
There was singing by individuals and by The AIM Children's Choir. They have been practicing for this event and all did very well. Tryston and Ariana sang and Tryston helped to passed out and light candles for everyone that was present. While that was being done, Ariana with several other children played God Bless America and several other songs on the bells. They all did very well and it was very pretty. The singing was very nice, it was easy to tell they had all practiced well. It was such a nice evening and a great celebration. I hope your celebration was nice as well.
